Thanks for stopping by! I'm so excited that you are interested in choosing me to document your portrait session! After 8+ years of photographing all things from babies, to families, to high school seniors, weddings, and so much more - I've seen the importance of documenting life's moments first hand!
When we had our first son, Caden, in 2019 and now our daughter, Cora, in 2020 - I realized how fast time flies by on a whole new level! They go from a squishy little baby to a toddler running around in no time! I know the photos we have (both from our phones and professional cameras) will be priceless for years to come.

I love having the chance to get to know my clients on a personal level at each session! When you book you're session - We'll chat about all things from location, to outfit choices, to tips for having the best session possible! Scroll through to learn more!
LET's CONNECT
Once your date is reserved, we'll connect to start chatting about possible locations for your session. We generally recommend choosing one location and if it's a place you haven't been before, it might be helpful to visit during the time our session will take place. That way you have an idea of the light, crowds, closing time, etc! If you're not sure about where you would like to take your photos but you have a general idea of the look you would like, just let us know because we would be happy to recommend a few locations based on your aesthetic!
LOCATION
If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet and piled it on your bed but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.

waRDROBE STYLING
On the day of your session, we'll connect to make sure the weather still looks like it's going to corporate. We'll exchange numbers and finalize our meeting location.
We all know getting ready for your session can be a little bit hectic, but try to relax - we're going to have a great time!
The SEssion
All images from our sessions are typically delivered within about two weeks of the shoot date via an online gallery. This gallery will allow you to share your favorites with family, order prints and even download images to share on social media.
Your gallery will remain active online for you to download your images from for one year.

Your home may be a great place to have your portrait session! Kids tend to feel comfortable in their own space and they love the freedom to run freely around to show me all the fun activities they like to do.

With the growth of online shops, shopping for your littles is more fun than ever! We recommend choosing color families (neutrals, blues, etc) over perfectly matching outfits. If you're looking for some inspiration or some of our favorite shops for kids, check out the link to our Pinterest boards below!
For the Littles
When picking outfits we recommend keeping in mind the word “complement” rather than “match.” For example, if Dad is wearing a blue and pink pastel plaid shirt, Mom may want to choose a long, soft blue dress. It can also be a great idea to choose “color-families,” such as pastels or jewel tones.

WARDROBE STYLING
The sooner the better! My schedule tends to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the summer and fall, so the sooner you reach out to us, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, we take photos for a living and we even feel like a deer in the headlights when we're in front of the camera.
You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and we coach you through images, we think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. We're well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
We're Awkward and my kids don't sit still.
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Often, when we're scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
